Health and wellness concepts are integrated through the K-8 physical education curriculum. North Lake School promotes a healthy lifestyle including making good choices and being active.
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is taught in 5th grade by a local enforcement officer. Students learn the benefits of responsibility through the interactive in-school curriculum which lasts ten weeks.
Human Growth and development is taught in grades 5 through 8 and in gender-specific sessions. The human growth and development curriculum is based on abstinence.
