History
North Lake has a rich and interesting history. The first school was built in 1846, the second in 1913. The second school is what you see today, with several additions. 2013 was the 100th anniversary of North Lake School. Below is a photo gallery that details more of North Lake and North Lake School’s history.

The student population continued to grow through the mid-1970s. In 1976, the School District began work on a second story classroom addition above the classroom addition completed in 1960. The District showed good foresight in designing the roof structure to accommodate the second story classrooms when needed. This addition added 8 classrooms and 3 office spaces. This 1960 picture shows the original structure with the new classrooms and gym behind it.
